VBM Rom commercializes fresh blueberry fruit in wrappings from 125g to 250g.

The market for the VBM Rom products is represented by the Hypermarkets of the countries in the European Community.

One of the main objectives of VBM Rom is to insure the highest standards in what concerns quality and safety of the production and consumption of blueberry fruit.

This is why VBM Rom has implemented a complete program in what concerns the safety of all fresh products, which helps to supervise the entire process that the blueberries go through starting at harvest then the stores shelves and the final consumer. (traceability).

Beginning with the first season of production VBM Rom has managed to bring its production and export facilities HACCP certifications and all its activities were certified with the GLOBALGAP standards regarding the fulfillment of the European Community norms of quality and safety of the products.

GAP standards appeared as a response to the requests of the consumers and as a necessity to fulfill the European norms.

GAP is a set of principles, norms and technical recommendations applicable in different stages of production. The purpose is to guarantee a healthy product, with special focus on protecting the environment and on the work equitable work conditions for the entire personnel hired in the process of production and commercializing.

At the same time, beginning with 2009 VBM Rom has started a strict program for an area of 15 ha in order to implement an ecological agriculture under the GAP standards.

The organic agriculture is based on the nutrition and direct relationship of the plant with the soil’s ecosystem. The organic food production has as a purpose the achievement of durable, diverse and equable agricultural systems which can insure the protection of natural resources and the consumer’s health. The impact of the ecological production process on the environment is minimal.
